Residential Waste & Recycling Service Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Services

Collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling services for non-hazardous waste.

  • Service scope, frequency, container size, and pricing are location- and customer-specific.
  • Services are subject to availability and operational constraints.

2. Service Schedule

  • All materials must be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on service day or the night prior.
  • Recycling is collected weekly, unless otherwise specified.
  • Containers must be accessible and not obstructed.

3. Holiday Schedule

Service will not occur on:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

If your pickup falls on a holiday, service will occur on the next service day.

4. Containers and Equipment

  • All containers remain Company property.
  • Standard service includes two containers: one 96-gallon toter (trash) and one 64-gallon toter (recycling).
  • Customers are responsible for:
    • Loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear
    • Returning containers upon cancellation

Fees may apply:

  • Tote replacement: $100 plus tax
  • Unreturned or inaccessible containers: up to $100 per tote
  • Early termination retrieval: $30 plus tax

5. Acceptable and Prohibited Materials

Accepted:

  • Household solid waste
  • Approved recyclables

Prohibited:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Flammable or toxic materials
  • Batteries, chemicals, gasoline, paint
  • Electronics, appliances, tires, needles, construction debris, etc.

Customers are fully responsible for proper disposal of prohibited materials.

6. Recycling Policy

  • Recycling must be clean, dry, and unbagged (unless otherwise instructed).
  • No mixing:
    • Trash in recycling
    • Recycling in trash

Fees apply:

  • Contamination: $5–$50 per occurrence

7. Billing and Payment Terms

  • Services are billed in advance (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
  • Initial payment must be made before service begins.
  • Payment terms: Net 15–30 days depending on plan.

Accepted Payments:

  • Credit/debit card
  • ACH
  • Check
  • Online payments

Late Payments:

  • Late fee after 30 days (e.g., $3 or applicable rate)
  • Accounts 15+ days overdue may be suspended

Failed Payments:

  • Returned check fee: $35 plus tax
  • ACH return fee: $5 plus tax

8. Pricing and Adjustments

  • Pricing is based on custom quotes and may include taxes and fees.
  • Rates are typically guaranteed for 12 months.

Price increases may occur due to:

  • Fuel costs
  • Disposal/landfill fees
  • CPI or inflation
  • Regulatory changes
  • Operational costs

Additional charges may include:

  • Overage/excess volume
  • Extra pickups (~$5)
  • Administrative or environmental fees
  • Container delivery/removal

9. Additional Services

Available upon request:

  • Bulk item pickup (must schedule in advance)
  • Cleanouts (garages, basements, etc.)
  • Dumpster or trailer rentals (additional fee)
  • Garage/doorstep pickup services (additional fee)

Failure to place items out for scheduled pickup may result in a trip fee (~$25).

10. Subscription and Auto-Renewal

  • Services may be offered as subscription plans (3 months to 1 year).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled.
  • Customers must provide at least 30-day notice before renewal to avoid charges.

11. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Customers may cancel service by notifying the Company.
  • Policies vary by plan.

General Rules:

  • No refunds for partial service periods once service has begun
  • Refunds (if applicable) must be requested within 6–8 weeks
  • Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued at Company discretion

12. Non-Transferability

  • Service is non-transferable.
  • Customers remain responsible for charges until cancellation is confirmed.
